Indian's Head Dovestone Reservoir

On Saturday 8th September we had an English Oak tree planted at Indian's Head Memorial Forest at Dovestone Reservoir in memory of Stephen. This was organised through the 'Life for a Life' charity. The tree has an inscribed plaque and is looked after by the charity in the future. We think that Stephen would not only approve of the idea of a tree being dedicated in his memory, but also the site at Dovestone Reservoir was one he visited regularly. The week before he died he took the family dog Molly for a walk around the reservoir on two afternoons. There are some pictures included on the web site. Anybody is welcome to visit. The reservoir is at Greenfield and has a pay and display car park. The memorial forest is a 10 minute walk from the car park. After you pass the sailing club the new planting area is on the right hand side on the other side of the dry stone wall. Stephen's tree is about half way along the dry stone wall set back about 120 metres. The indian's Head rock formation can be seen on top of the hillside above the planting area. The charity asks that no cards or soft toys etc are left at the site.
